Big Lifts, Big Equipment, Big Strength
There's is no debate that Strongman competitors are the biggest and strongest men on the planet. Their level of brute strength is undeniable; and watching them put it on display placing massive atlas stones, flipping tires, pushing sleds, carrying huge yokes, and completing enormous farmers carries is extremely humbling and entertaining.
What most people do not realize however is the level of technique and movement efficiency that is applied to these events. Strongmen also are equally conditioned as 'strength endurance' athletes as they are in maximal or 'brute' strength. Strongmen need to manage massive lifts for a long time. Strategy and application are crucial.
So how does this apply to you, me, and the rest of the TSP members? Strongman training is something that isn't available in most fitness centers. And it's a shame, because there is no better way to practice functional and applicable strength. Working with these apparatus' has tremendous carry over to every day 'labor-intensive' tasks; AND it's a ton of fun. Want to be stronger and more capable to get any job done? Incorporate some Strongman Training into your program. Don't think you can do it? I promise you, you can.
Strength and Conditioning
Function, Speed, and Strength
Here at The TOP Strength Project we are able to facilitate the needs of competitive athletes as well as people who want to train like athletes. Strength and Conditioning is the perfect blend of Functional Strength, Speed, Agility, and Conditioning.
The focus is to build strength through compound movements using efficient and effective movement mechanics combined with becoming more powerful with Olympic lifting and plyometrics. The final piece is metabolic conditioning; where skills like sprints, jumps, carries, slams, and other skills can be strategically put together to create certain adaptations.
It's one thing to be strong and being conditioned is another. Combining the two through progressive resistance training and implementing appropriate skills is the fast track to developing an advanced level of fitness. Let's see what you can do.
Powerlifting and Olympic Lifting
Function, Speed, and Strength
This is the foundation of all power and strength. Here at The TOP Strength Project, we are obviously a little on the 'strength bias' side of things. Barbell movements are how you test, train, and improve your strength.
Utilize the resources available to you here at TSP: the right STRENGTH coaches, the right equipment, and the right atmosphere. Better understand the big three (squat, bench, deadlift) and your Olympic lifts (clean, jerk, snatch). 1 on 1 coaching, small group classes, special guest seminars, and programming are all available for these foundational movements.
Strength is the most important thing in life. Not because having a big squat or a good bench press makes you a better person, but because the necessary attributes that it takes to BE strong are ones that have tremendous carry over into everything else you decide to do. Come get under a bar, and get STRONG.
Build Muscle, Burn Fat, Look Awesome
Something for the vast majority of gym goers out there to think about: YOU'RE ALL BODYBUILDERS.
That statement is not meant to have all of you categorizing yourself as a cartoon looking figure in a speedo or bikini covered in oil on stage. BUT, foundationally, if you are in the gym to build muscle and burn fat, you SHOULD be training like a body builder. Body builders are the best in the world at manipulating their physique; so if you're a guy who wants to 'get bigger' or a girl who wants to 'tone' this is THE best way to do it.
Here at The TOP Strength Project, we have developed systems to safely and effectively change body composition. We teach our members how to implement the most effective muscle building and fat burning concepts into their training and lifestyles.
Proper movement patterns, contraction intensity, optimum muscle building exercise techniques, time under tension, effective program design, and a sound understanding how to make proper nutrition work within your day to day life is what it takes. TSP is here to show you how; step by step.
